Anthony started out in industry working for a small owner managed company based in the South West. At the time the company had suffered a serious software failure, and he helped the management accountant and owners recover the business to become a prosperous enterprise. The company was bought out by a large multi-national company. He studied the AAT qualification with this company and qualified in May 2001.
Anthony moved over to Practice in September 2001 to broaden his knowledge and skills from seeing both sides of the accounting profession. He has worked for small/medium sized practices based in Devon working with clients from sole traders through to large groups of companies. He understands the provision of services from management accounts and systems installation to statutory accounts, tax and auditing.
Anthony studied the ACCA qualification, during his time in practice, and passed the finals in December 2005.He has an in-depth understanding of sage systems and is able to interface key data with other operating systems.
Since qualifying he moved out of practice, where he now provides management accounts and information to smaller companies who do not necessarily require a full-time management accountant. Close working interaction with the client enables a greater understanding of the business and good working relationships to develop. He has worked closely to, and has a good knowledge of a wide variety of market sectors.
